Hyde Park, London
Most flights from Australia into London arrive in the early morning, after a 24 hour flight, leaving jetlagged Aussie visitors in a bit of a bind. It’s hard to decide which is more unlikely – that you got a decent amount of sleep on the flight, or that your hotel is going to let you check in so early. On this visit, early check-in wasn’t an option, so I dropped of my bags and went for an extremely drowsy wander in nearby Hyde Park. I didn’t make it to any of the park’s major landmarks, but I did get this picture of one of the many tree-lined paths which criss-cross the park.
