Detail, Uluru (Ayers Rock)
As visually arresting as it is from a distance, it isn’t until you get up close to Uluru (Ayers Rock) that you can really appreciate both its size and complexity.
I’m going to be away from the internet for a few days, so updates may be sporadic this week. Expect a return to your regularly scheduled posting on Friday 26th.
You’re right. I never saw photos of Uluru this close-up, so I had no idea how much detail it contains. Are you allowed to touch the rock?
Yup, as long as you avoid the sacred sites. You can walk all around the base of Uluru – we did the first section, and I highly recommend it.
