Canadian Parliament
One of the things I love about Ottawa is all the faux-gothic buildings, of which the Canadian Parliament, on Parliament Hill, is one. It’s as if, after Queen Vic decided to make Ottawa the capital, the locals declared that ‘Well, it’s a nice enough place, but if we really want to be taken seriously as a country, we need some more serious architecture. Bring on the castles!”
Somewhat in contrast to the grand nature of the building itself, the green in front of the central parliament building were full of people relaxing, enjoying the unseasonably warm weather. This gentleman was sitting on the step, watching his grandchildren play.
Beautiful. Framing is awesome, and the shot is so crisp! Nice post.
