Blasket Islands, Ireland
Another picture from our ecotour of the Blasket Islands (Na Blascaodaí). The peaceful nature of this picture is slightly misleading – the roots of this name are uncertain, but it may come from the Norse word “brasker”, which means ‘dangerous place’.
Beautiful. I have always loved the effect of light on water, the silhouettes give this a nice peaceful feeling, and the hills/mountains in the background gives it a nice depth.
Thank you. The reflected sunlight was one of the things which drew me to take this picture, so I’m glad it works for you.
Lovely light reflection on the water. Looks to be a gorgeous, peaceful place.
Thank you. It definitely was gorgeous.
