While many of the inhabitants of Aberdeen’s Floating Village no longer live on their boats, they still work there during the day, seemingly oblivious to the constant stream of tourist-bearing sampans cruising past.

What do you do when you see a wonderful moonrise over the Tower of London, but don’t have a tripod? You borrow the shoulder of the person next to you as an impromptu camera rest! Of course, this works best when you know the person standing next to you – thanks, K!

Punting, Cambridge

As soon as we mentioned we were going to Cambridge, people asked if we were going punting.  Apparently, punting is the Thing To Do in Cambridge – and there are enough billboard-wielding students flagging down every passing tourist to keep Cambridge on top as the number-one punting-destination in England for the foreseeable future!  Still, it turned out to be a lot of fun, and a great way to see The Backs.
