Seascape I, Florida

Abstract colour picture of seascape, Florida

Seascape I

Given my hatred of heat and humidity, I am not, by and large, a fan of tropical beach holidays.  That said, when I do find myself staying near the beach, I have no objection to lounging on the sand, watching the sunset, and taking pictures of whatever is at hand – including the sea itself.

  1. psychedelic interpretation, awesome your result

  2. Great PP here JP. I think if you could show in an image how 100% humidity makes you feel, this is it!

  8. Well done! A very interesting presentation.

  9. Wow, i can’t figure out what I’m looking at. Every “wave” seems to be moving in a different direction. Not a heat/humidity fan myself, but I gotta say, if i have to deal with it, doing so by the water’s the best option.

    • I think it’s a combination of the angle and the motion that makes it look that way. Personally, when it comes to heat and humidity, I’m a head-to-the-nearest-airconditioning sort of person, but sometimes it’s worth braving it :)

  10. Really nice blend of colors and texture. Nice abstract.

  11. I’ve got a blank space on a wall for this. Wrap it up!

Just got back from a wee break in France. ;)

  18. Excellent fusion of color and light in this long exposure of the waves. Living near the beach, I too love the possiblities the ocean provides for photography. Enjoy your travel blog and the subjects you find.

  19. Somehow, in spite of so many cool colors in this, it says heat, humidity, and tropical. For me, the layers (almost cake layers) convey that oppressiveness of tropical heat. I keep wanting to go back and have one more look.

  20. You’ve turned an (already) amazing natural phenomenon into a gorgeous abstract of motion and texture. Beautiful post processing!
