Nelson's Column, Trafalgar Square, London
This picture was taken early one foggy morning in London, when the sky was almost completely white, and the top of Nelson’s Column seemed to fade into the mist…

I always love a photo that includes a bird.
Bird make everything better
Don’t know how you do it, JP! The bird in flight is the perfect finishing touch to this image!
Thanks Tracy!
Lovely image…I like how Nelson is standing vigilant over the city!
Thanks Dave. He’d have a great view from up there
Nice shot man, I like the soft color in it.
Thanks Aaron.
The small vigilant figure against the stark white sky is quite effective and, indeed, the bird is the just right finishing touch.
Thanks Anita!
Like subdued colors. The bird makes the difference.
Thanks Tom. Yes, without the bird I don’t think this shot really works at all.
I completely agree… that bird is just like the icing on the cake!
Wonderful!
Thanks SIG
Perfectly timed and composed..a wonderful silhouette!
Thanks Pavan.
Love the negative space, rather fitting (and yes, the bird is really cool too…one day I might be able to capture those suckers….they just don’t like me)!
The nice thing about London is that there is no shortage of pigeons willing to fly into your shots, whether you want them there or not
Wonderful mood you’ve captured/created here. The fog really adds to the ‘majesty’ of the scene.
Thanks Marcie. It seems most of my pictures from London these days include fog, glad you like it!
what a great photo! I especially like the detail of the flying bird
Thanks losangelas!
Very nice compositon and the muted tones are very beautiful.
Thanks Martina.
