Old Man of Storr, Isle of Skye
The view looking down from the Storr is apparently fantastic – when the weather cooperates! The day we visited, the clouds hung around the Storr like a cloak, swirling around the peak despite the clear skies to either side. Still, the view peering up through the clouds was impressive enough, as long as you are willing to pull over and wait for the right moment, when the Old Man of Storr and surrounding formations peeked through the clouds.

Thank you, glad you liked it!
It looks like you waited for that “perfect moment”. Great shot, no doubt.
Thank you! It did take a little while – luckily, my travel buddies have experienced the joys of travelling with a photographer before, and had brought their own entertainment for when I wanted to stop and wait at a site for the right photo!
WOW.
Thanks Tracy. Mother Nature did most of the work!
Amazing photo … the clouds served you well!
I’m starting to think I should have a new name for this blog… ‘the cloud whisperer’…
Adventurous and magical – like being in “Lord of the Rings”!

Mother nature poses beautifully, but the photographer still has to catch the right moment. Lovely shot.
