Puffins (I), Treshnish Islands, Scotland
The chance to see Atlantic Puffins up close and personal on Lunga, the largest of the Treshnish Isles off the coast of Scotland, was one of the highlights of my recent trip. The only reason I haven’t put up a picture of them before is that I couldn’t decide which one! In the end, I chose this one, because I think it does a great job of capturing their quirky personality – I’m convinced this pair have just spotted a long lost friend coming in to land!

Adorable!! Love the colorful background, too!
I may have spent quite a while waiting for the puffins in front of the flowers to do something photogenic – eventually it paid off!
Amazing set of colours!
Glad you like it!
Those personalities really shine through in this image. What a lovely shot.
Thanks Franklin – they were amazing to watch, each bird was an individual.
