“Beware of the Risen People, that have harried and held, Ye that have bullied and bribed.” The words graffiti-ed on the wall are by Patrick Henry Pearse, who was executed in Kilmainham Gaol for his part in the Easter Rising.

Great photo and what an interesting place to visit. I was there a couple of years ago and got a real sense of deep history and the events and lives that had gone on between those walls. Well worth visiting, as is Dublin, great city!

Thanks Truels! That’s the idea behind the reposts – a lot of the people following Journey Photographic now weren’t following it when these pictures went up originally, and it’s hard to find things buried in the archives, so this gives everyone a second chance to see them.
