On a free day in Ottawa, I decided to depart from my normal double-decker bus routine and explore the city via a Trolley Tour. Conveniently, the first stop was at an Irish Pub

Sub-zero temperatures weren’t enough to stop this couple taking a romantic stroll alongside the partially-frozen Rideau Canal.

Parliament Hill, Ottawa
The view through the snow storm to Canada’s Parliament Hill, from Major’s Hill Park, Ottawa. The town’s artificial lighting turned both the snow and the sky an almost-post-apocalyptic shade of pink, and gave the place an eerie, otherworldly feeling.
