Here’s another picture of the interior of Gaudi’s Sagrada Familia.  If you get the impression I could have stayed there all day, you’d be right – it’s an incredible place, architecturally, photographically, and spiritually.  Plus, some of the columns appear to have alien space bulbs surrounding their branches, and who could resist a church with alien space bulbs?

I’ve been to a lot of churches throughout Europe, but I have to say I’ve never seen anything to rival the otherworldly  interior of the Basílica i Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Família, Gaudi’s final masterpiece.  Church or not, when you enter you feel like you may have accidentally  wandered into Rivendell.
