Return of the Crosswalk Man, Washington D.C.

Picture of man in the crosswalk with crowds, Washington D.C

Crosswalk man among the pedestrians, Washington D.C.

Another shot of the stikman, the alien/robot/person glued onto crosswalks around Washington D.C. by an unknown street artist. I love the geometric simplicity of my previous stikman picture, but something about this shot captures the essence of stikman for me – he’s there, unnoticed among the crowds, until someone cares to look down.

This post brought to you by my realisation that, according to wordpress, the most common search engine queries directing people to this blog are variations on the ‘alien/robot/man in the crosswalk’ theme. Apparently, according to google, photographing stikman is my niche! So welcome anyone looking for information on our 2 dimensional friend – I hope you stick around and have a browse.
