Victoria Harbour, Hong Kong

Picture of boat and floating cranes, Victoria Harbour, Hong Kong

Victoria Harbour, Hong Kong

As the sun sets, a boat heads out towards the floating cranes at the entrance to Victoria Harbour.Β  Due to its high demand for land, Hong Kong is the only harbour in the world that currently operates using at-sea loading and unloading of cargo (known as mid-stream operation).

  1. I did a double take there JP, as Victoria Harbour is near where my family live in Sidney on Vancouver Island, Canada and I’ll be there in afew weeks from now for a month. OK, so it’s a differenty Victoria Harbour, but beautiful none the less.

It feels lke a painting in a book, so dreamy with exquisite hues and great composition. A lovely frame. Hope you are enjoying a very pleasant weekend. It’s hot and blue skies here, and lunch in the garden a short while ago was a real bons.

  2. Thank you for visiting my blog and for your comments. I have never happened across your blog before but I am happy to have discovered it. This photo is lovely. I have visited HK three times spending about four weeks there in total and have always found it to be the most fascinating of places.

  3. Wow – that is a stunning image! The colour combination of the almost golden sky and the beautiful blue water is fabulous. The composition is excellent too, as always. Great work!

  4. What a fabulous photo! I love the colors of the boat against the (cold) color of the water and the (warm) color of the background, it works super!
