Flamencoo (VII), Spain

Flamenco is known for its female dancers, but the few male dancers we saw probably eclipsed them in terms of sheer flamboyance.  This particular performer was like a cross between Michael Flatley and Paul Mercurio’s character from Strictly Ballroom.

    • Thanks Adam! We were lucky – when the tables in front of us started to empty out, the waiters were happy for me to go sit in the front row. They were concerned, since they thought I’d get better shots from where I was, but I knew this was the angle I wanted 🙂

  1. That is a real classic! I love the black and white treatment, the beautifully lit face and hands and the grain in your photograph. You really managed to capture the atmosphere – marvellous!
