The columns of the Sagrada Familia form a forest of towering stone trees.

To everyone that got sent an empty copy of this post, my apologies – wordpress is being a little glitchy, and decided to publish the post while I was still uploading the file.  Isn’t technology wonderful?

  1. We visited Barcelona last fall, the line up to get into the church was 3 blocks long…….
since we were only there for 1 short day we decided against going in, I am so happy to see your lovely images, they are beautiful and imaginative, thanks for sharing them with us.

  2. I went to Barcelona many years ago and didn’t take my camera – how much of a chump do I feel now? Sagrada Familia was awesome, I loved all the details and different styles of carvings from one wing to the next.

  3. Am I one of the few people who find the exterior stunning ? When I was in Barcelona two years ago, I couldn’t manage to go inside but from the outside, I thought it looked spectacular. Fantastic photograph!

    • Thanks Ashwathy. You’re not the only one – my sister loves the Passion facade. One thing I found about all Gaudi’s work is that I liked the interiors more, but that probably has more to do with me than anything else!
