2012 Diary: Spain

I’ve been making calendars for a while now, but this year I decided to branch out and try my hand at something new – a diary. Or, more precisely, a week-to-a-page diary featuring pictures from my recent trip to Spain. The pictures include some familiar favourites, as well as new pictures not previously posted on Journey Photographic.

As this is my first diary, with my own custom template, I’d really appreciate any feedback you’d like to offer – and if you feel like buying a copy, that’s great too!

  1. This is a lovely idea, and a great collection of photographs!
The layout looks lovely and clean – perfect for the onslaught of scribbles and notes πŸ™‚

  2. Great diary, I just don’t write diary/calender never (I hate planning, I keep everything in my head:)
I have meant to make a book in Blurb for some years now but haven’t done anything but I hope next summer I do have time to concentrate on that. Are you happy for the quality and what paper type you used? I would love to try premium matte.

    • I’m very happy with the quality. Since this diary was made for writing on, I used the trade book with the uncoated paper. I was a little dubious about how the photos were going to come out on it, but they look great. I would love to try a proper book with all the proline features – maybe this year we need a ‘make a book’ challenge πŸ™‚

  3. Very nice! And I love the cover photo. Although, you have so many beautiful images any of them would be great too. One question, if this is a diary… it doesn’t look like there is much room to write. I don’t know about other people but I know I usually write at least a page. This looks more like it’s a calendar with space for short notes.

Welcome back, JP. Happy New Year!

  4. It is a wonderful idea to have chosen your pictures of Spain for creating this diary. They are truly outstanding and it is nice to see them again. B&W and colour images bring a great contrast too. Well done !

  5. So pretty, JP! I see all your photos but don’t always have a chance to comment. I love the diary (I think I’m going to try to make one, too!) Thank you for your wonderful photography and inspiration.
